Software Change
Today, the former Development team of Mambo, the software which I use to run this website, anounced a new name for this software and I expect that within the next couple of weeks a new version will come out, I really like what the team has done with this software, so I will most likely go with the new software.
For about the last couple of weeks, there has been a power struggle with the ownership of Mambo, and now a complete split, you can read more about this at opensourcematters.org , so over the next couple of months, I will be working this new version into my website, I don't expect any troubles, but one can not be too sure. Look for the name change soon, it will be Joomla! and most likely won't affect anything that you are used too, other than a couple of links here or there. Mambo software will still exists, but the people who took it to where it is today, the Development team, will not be apart of it, they will be focusing their efforts on Joomla! and I wish them well, I am going to help out any way I can and also I plan to run their version when it is available. Bear with me on this transition.
I have grown fond of Mambo and the ease of use, the management abilities, and the look of my website, and would like to see it get better. With the new software coming, I believe this can be accomplished. I look forward to seeing you at Banditland.net in the future. Stick around for Joomla 1.0.0.
